Envision Manchester desires to identify and develop the next generation of Kingdom leaders through discipleship, creating community and fostering collaboration across Kingdom works happening among the nations in Manchester, UK.
As of 2022, less than 50% of the UK population identifies as Christian and of the 48% that do, only 6% are practicing believers. Cultural Christianity is not meeting the needs of the people, and they are quickly throwing the baby out with the bathwater. Meanwhile, 25% of the practicing Christians in our country come from ethnic minority groups. Immigrant populations are on the rise in the UK, and Manchester is no different.
Greater Manchester is home to almost 3 million people, 120,000 of which are university students. One third of the city’s population was born outside of the UK and on any given day of the week in Manchester you can hear up to 200 different languages while you’re walking around.
